Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., a part of the US $16.2 billion Mahindra  Group, announced the launch of the entry level ‘W4’ model of its popular SUV, the XUV500 at a price of Rs 10.95 lacs (ex-showroom, Delhi). The entry level W4 model is powered by the mHawk 140 bhp engine. In addition to the Cheetah-inspired design, it boasts of a range of technology, safety and comfort features. Mahindra  launches its entry level ‘W4’ model of XUV500 in Kerala too.

The pricing is good enough to give the Fort Ecosport run for its money.

The XUV500 W4 model is powered by a state-of-the-art 2.2 litre mHawk diesel engine which delivers a power-packed 140bhp with 330Nm of torque. The 2.2 litre engine is meshed with a 6- speed transmission and a 5th generation Variable Geometry Turbocharger which takes the XUV500 from 0-60kmph in just 5.4 seconds. Despite all this exhilarating power, the XUV500 has a mileage of 15.1 kms per litre (ARAI-certified). The advanced Micro Hybrid Technology helps conserve both fuel and nature.
