2 easy ways to Transliterate English to Malayalam – very easy

Posted on August 31, 2008October 15, 2012 by keralaclick

You love to

chat and write emails in Malayalam?

Then follow either or both of these steps in order to  equip yourself to be able to write in Malayalam while chatting and emailing . To use all these, I recommend using Gmail ( for emailing )  and Gtalk ( for chatting )  .

In case you don’t have a Gmail ID, you can create it from here.
(1) Use this web page from Google – Google Indic Transliteration – It is very easy to use this tool . More help is available here

(2) use

Google’s transliteration bots with Gtalk

  • Login to your Gtalk client using your Gmail or Google ID
  • Use the “Add” button found at the bottom left corner of the Gtalk client
  • paste en2ml.translit@bot.talk.google.com at the space provided
  • converting English to Malayalam

Click on the next Button , after that you will see en2ml.translit@bot.talk.google.com listed in your friends list at the Gtalk client.

gtalk client

Now, you have to chat with this bot ( en2ml.translit@bot.talk.google.com ) .

Whatever you type in English, this chat bot will return it in Malayalam as reply

gtalk malayalam transliteration bot

Likewise, to write in other Indian languages add the following bots to your GTALK Client

English to Hindi
en2hi.translit@bot.talk.google.com

English to Kannada
en2kn.translit@bot.talk.google.com

English to Malayalam
en2ml.translit@bot.talk.google.com

English to Tamil
en2ta.translit@bot.talk.google.com

English to Telugu
en2te.translit@bot.talk.google.com

    Hi,

If you are using gchat inside gmail, try this firefox addon -> https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/8731. It works in other sites too.

We have developed an experimental enhancement to transliteration – you can try it at http://lipik.in/literation.html

Our web site (http://lipik.in) also lets you easily type in your native language without converting from English. If you like the service, you can open an account which means the site adapts to *your* usage patterns, and you can store your text online, post it directly to Blogger etc.

Very informative, aside from this, there are also other translating websiter that are available all over the internet. An example of a said website is this, http://www.writeka.com/malayalam.html, and offers pretty much the same quality as the one poster here.

Wonderful items from you, man. I’ve take into accout your stuff prior to and you’re simply extremely excellent. I actually like what you’ve received here, certainly like what you are stating and the way in which by which you say it. You make it entertaining and you continue to take care of to keep it sensible. I cant wait to read far more from you. That is actually a wonderful site.

Between me and my husband we’ve owned more MP3 players over the years than I can count, including Sansas, iRivers, iPods (classic & touch), the Ibiza Rhapsody, etc. But, the last few years I’ve settled down to one line of players. Why? Because I was happy to discover how well-designed and fun to use the underappreciated (and widely mocked) Zunes are.
