Announcing CAF’s ( Cochin Adventure Foundation) Rain Trek 2012 – on 15th Aug
“The Mesmerizing Marotichal† rain trekking
Marotichal is an unexploited cynic village which is situated in Trichur District.A beautiful place which is still unexplored by eco tourism. It is 20Km away from Trichur. There is a big and small water falls is in the middle of a reserved forest which is under Peechi Wild Life Sanctuary.A placefor a soft trekking through the forest and two water falls are the main attraction Olakayam and Elanjipara.
** THIS TREK IS FOR All THIS IS NOT A PICNIC AND ITS TREK!!!!!!***
*SUMMARY:*
Objective – Trek along the stream and the forest
Terrain –Country side and wet evergreen forest
Difficulty – soft
Duration – 1 day, Start Sunday Morning, spend a day and return.
Distance – Trek distance 5 Kms
Transportation – Will be boarding the bus and reach the starting point
Expense – around Rs.500 (for bus, food …) – CAF is non-profit and
cost is shared among all

Start from Cochin on15.th Morning by bus
Reach Mannuthi by 8 AM
Have breakfast
start of trek by 9.30 Am
Reach Marotichal by 11Am / 1Pm Lunch @ Marotichal
Enjoying the day in waterfalls and pools Reach Cochin by evening
No of participants – 50
Cost – Rs. 500 per person
*MUST BE ready to CARRY LUGGAGE:*
All participants must carry following items
Comfortable breathable shoes & pair of chapels to move around in the camping site.
Two reusable water bottles (with water), One extra set of clothes
A sprain relief spray — like Volini / Amrutanjan
Fully Charged Camera
Note:
Food & Transport will be taken care of by the organizers.
First aid/trekking Gears will be taken care of by the organizers.
VERY IMPORTANT: Travel lightweight or you will find it difficult

*DROP OUTS:*
- CAF maintains a Blacklist policy against people who drop out at the last minute without informing the organizers.
- If someone drops out after all the arrangements (food, transport, etc) have been made, s/he would not only be requested to share the cost of trek including food/transport, etc., regardless whether anyone replaces him/her or not but also blacklisted from participating in such events in the future.
- Information Selection and confirmation of participants is at the sole discretion of CAF.
- All confirmed and selected participants will be informed separately.
