The H1N1 virus is affecting many people in many parts of the country.
\nHere are some tips as to how you could ensure your safety and the safety of others.<\/strong>
\nDo Not panic. This is a 100% curable influenza if detected early.
\nThe Central & Sate governments are fully geared up to the situation.<\/p>\n

If you have the following symptoms, please consult your doctor immediately<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Cold and Cough<\/li>\n
  2. Running Nose<\/li>\n
  3. Fever (May take a day or two to manifest)<\/li>\n
  4. Feeling of congestion in the chest<\/li>\n
  5. Vomiting , Diarrhoea<\/li>\n
  6. Head Ache or Body Ache<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Remember children below 14 years and elders are susceptible for this infection.
    \nPlease wear nose masks if you have cough and cold<\/p>\n

    Maintain personal Hygiene. Wash your hands as often as required.
    \nAvoid touching your eyes, mouth and nose. Use a tissue paper when you cough or sneeze<\/p>\n

    Avoid going to crowded places especially airports, railway stations, bus terminal etc
    \nPlease use the prescribed nose masks while you travel and especially by air.
    \nAvoid traveling if it is avoidable.
    \nAs a measure of cost reduction try digital video conferencing or use the internet facilities to communicate.<\/p>\n

    Should you get any of the above symptoms, you may consult a doctor at any Government Medical College or Hospital which are equipped with screening facilities. They will refer you to Testing centers if required<\/p>\n

    Remember, the only known medicine for H1N1 influenza is Tamiflu and it is available only with Govt Hospitals. This is done to prevent indiscriminate usage of this drug which would result in strains becoming resistant<\/p>\n
