It was a long awaited event to all nature lovers – to be able to go for trekking inside the Silent Valley National Park.
Now as the Department of Forest has decided to start the Eco Tourism Program at Silent valley, everyone can enjoy the trekking and camping experience inside this rain forest. More than 500 Nature lovers visited the park on the first day of Eco Tourism Program .
The different packages available for the visitors are as follows:
- Soft Trekking to Karuvara Waterfalls
( duration: 1 day; Fee : Rs.50 per head ) - Medium Trekking to Keeripara
( duration: 1 day; Fee : Rs.50 per head ) - Hard Trekking to Pathra kadavu
( duration: 1 day;� Fee : Rs.1000 for 3 persons ) - Camping Exclusive Package : Includes visit to Sairandri, watch tower, kunthipuzha,slide film show at night, a trip to either Karuvara Waterfalls or Keeripara
( duration: 1 day and 1 night at a cottage at the banks of River Bhavani at Mukkali ;� Fee : Rs.3000 for 2 persons ) - One night stay at Trojan Tower – Fee : Rs.2000 for 2 persons
- One night stay at Ambalapara Rock Hole Cottage – Fee : Rs.3000 for 3 persons
- One night stay at Thadikundu Bamboo Cottage deep inside the rain forests – Fee : Rs.3000 for 2 persons
- Nature Study camp for 40 persons @ Rs. 600 per head
