chat and write emails in Malayalam?
Then follow either or both of these steps in order to equip yourself to be able to write in Malayalam while chatting and emailing . To use all these, I recommend using Gmail ( for emailing ) and Gtalk ( for chatting ) .
In case you don’t have a Gmail ID, you can create it from here.
(1) Use this web page from Google – Google Indic Transliteration – It is very easy to use this tool . More help is available here

Google’s transliteration bots with Gtalk
- Login to your Gtalk client using your Gmail or Google ID
- Use the “Add” button found at the bottom left corner of the Gtalk client
- paste [email protected] at the space provided
Click on the next Button , after that you will see [email protected] listed in your friends list at the Gtalk client.
Now, you have to chat with this bot ( [email protected] ) .
Whatever you type in English, this chat bot will return it in Malayalam as reply
Likewise, to write in other Indian languages add the following bots to your GTALK Client
English to Hindi

English to Kannada
[email protected]
English to Malayalam
[email protected]
English to Tamil
[email protected]
English to Telugu
[email protected]

If you are using gchat inside gmail, try this firefox addon -> https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/8731. It works in other sites too.

Very informative, aside from this, there are also other translating websiter that are available all over the internet. An example of a said website is this, http://www.writeka.com/malayalam.html, and offers pretty much the same quality as the one poster here.
